Typical environmental fundamentalism. The tip off is that nuclear, the one technology practical for real reduction of CO2 is not mentioned. These things will work great if some new inventions are discovered to do all the things no one currently knows how to do. Electricity storage is the big one. It is also self centered vanity to claim that the world needs saving and this is how to do it.
Wind doesn't have a reputation for being unreliable. It is. Solar doesn't work at night or when there re clouds and is extremely expensive. Wave energy is speculative. Tidal energy requires special geography. Co generation (num 4) works, but defeats the purpose of reducing CO2 since the microgenerator burns fossil fuel. Not currently economic either. Superefficient homes are fine, but just put people in large apartment buildings is better. Hybrid cars work, but electric cars are waiting for new battery inventions so that it won't cost the equivalent of $15 a gallon for gas to replace worn out batteries. Second generation biofuels - why did we do the first generation which don't work and are uneconomical i.e. ethanol. Carbon capture - speculative for power plants and also wastes 20% of the energy compressing CO2. We need to stop recycling and bury waste so as to sequester carbon. Biogas stoves is just a variation on biofuels.
