Hardly good journalism. While it purports to describe a realistic perspective on events, the scope of history is ignored. The real battle on Earth is between the people who like using guns and those of us who like humanity. It always has been that way and the battles between the gunnies are a red herring. Civilization has progressed in spite of the people who would use force, not because of them. Don't get me wrong, without force the sabretooths would rule the earth, force is needed, but it is not the great mover. The Democrats have brought, for the momment at least, a more evolved and civilized voice to American politics. The battles in the Middle East will continue with us or without us and end when the people there decide to end them. Let's not even talk about the horror that real war between the east and west could bring, major weapons being deployed and used, it would be catastrophic for the East's body and for the west's soul.
