this story illustrates clearly by using one person's detailed profile, how financial, personal, political and social interests are completely inseparable in much of what goes on in our government al politics and media. to say of gen. mccaffrey as quoted at the article's end, ''his motives are pure... national interest" sounds similar to other former employees who then lobby their previous gov't agency for the business which pays them.
