While this story lacks political bias, it also lacks sufficient identified sources for its claim of a Republican strategy.

Based on their previous behavior, I don't doubt that the Senate Republicans have adopted a strategy such as that described in this article; however, that is just my opinion. I believe that a credible news story requires sources.

This article focuses largely on the GOP point-of-view, citing a couple Republican representatives, but no independent perspectives.

This is a mediocre piece. It fails to solicit a Democratic response, and while it does present fact-checking information for some GOP claims, it fails to for others, such as the Thune quote at the end (see quotes).
