This blog review of Carter's recent book "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid" is part of a dialog. It attempts to get beyond the irate polemics about Carter's choice of word by establishing a factual basis for that choice. The post doesn't claim to be, and isn't, "balanced," but it is part of a (desperately needed) formal and respectful dialog.
A few neutral-authority citations (e.g. dictionary definitions, etc) might help make the case.
