What's missing in this story is the meaning behind the inflation factors in the different regions of the planet, and the implications for the long term global stability. If this story means what I think it means, the situation is far more serious than the lackluster presentation implies. The undefined "second round effect" is an understatement if it means the first domino falling in a global spiral of inflation and scarcity.
