Op-Ed piece noteworthy not so much for what it says but for where it is published (New York Times). There are many criticisms of President Obama from the left in places like CounterPunch, Alternet, Huffington Post and Common Dreams, but the gatekeeper press (New York Times, Washington Post, etc.) rarely countenance discourse from out of their self-imposed mainstream, which ranges from the far right to the moderate center, and which focuses on people like David Broder who are embedded with officialdom.
