Hari seems to base his conclusions on a single book. However, this book seems to be based on real results from a real "experiment." Perhaps I didn't see those parts of town when I visited my son there when he was in college. But I was surprised to see the leafy suburbia and quaint downtown I saw characterized as a "shell-scared" city. Even still, I always find it fascinating to read a take on my country from abroad. And Hari is one of the best at it.
