Solid interview with key staffers inside a campaign that will change the future of electoral politics.

The campaign staff put into simple words the core reason for the success of the campaign: a strong, bright candidate who knew what he wanted to do; supported by a dedicated core staff and an unprecedented corps of volunteers. This campaign made democracy a do-it-yourself job, inspiring volunteers to work for a bigger ideal than their own personal gain. Interesting that the latest digital technologies and unprecedented fundraising yielded a genuine grassroots campaign. And the victors have a VERY large set of expectations to meet. I have a hope that this level of individual involvement in the doings of government will become the way we do things all the time--not just for brief campaign flurries every four years.
