a difficult piece to review. a eulogy sounded in despair and disgust. points are made about what conservatism in our politics has lost in o'rourke's view. it's not possible in the current politics to know how widespread his view was. sometimes his points could come from either political tilt (" ...everybody wants his or her children to respect freedom exercise responsibility be honest get educated,...", or perhaps recently none. fascinating tho.
