Cantor: GOP stands ready to work with Obama

Rep. Eric Cantor (Va.), who is poised to become minority whip, said Sunday that the House GOP wants to work with President-elect Barack Obama to fix the nation’s problems.

The headline is contradicted completely if you read the article. The campaign attacks and distortions are repeated. The promise to work with the Democrats is conditioned upon the Democrats suddenly becoming right wing extremists. The public is presumed to be all republican after voting in democrats in a landslide. Read the article, but forget the lie in the title.

this is not really a story as such, it is a series of quotes by primarily rep. eric cantor, along with rep. mike pence. the writer gives almost no context (such as rep. cantor's recent faulting of the republican vote on the bailout bill to house speaker pelosi's 'partisan' comments) on these representatives who speak apparently candidly for themselves.
