If quality journalism makes you feel like shit for someone you respected, yes, it's quality journalism.

There's a story about when John McCain came back from the POW camp, he had to do something he regretted more than any thing he had ever done. He had to go to his Father, a decorated Admiral, and tell him, Dad, the enemy broke me. Through all the pain, I finally told them what they wanted to hear.With both men crying, his Father said not to worry, every one has a breaking point, even him. What his Father didn't tell him, was it was old news that the vietcong could,t have used anyway. I felt sorry for Senator McCain for many years, even though I disliked his politics. Now, I can only pity an old man.
