Yet another new voting system for Hillsborough County?
That's a possibility as the county tries to determine what role the newly purchased optical-scan voting machines - and the system's owner, Premier Election Solutions - played in Tuesday's election fiasco.

The explanation of the problem is poor, and in fact does not make sense. It doesn't even identify the voting machine model. There are claims from a number of viewpoints, but the story doesn't clear up the confusion. Instead it leaves me with more questions. A small error: it would be the third change of systems, not the "fourth change".
I am an election official who works with the same machines mentioned in this story. They truly do not have many alternatives.
