Excellent primary sourcing in this story of banal evil at Camp Cropper, a US detention facility in Iraq. This wrongly imprisoned whistleblower kept good contemporaneous records of his mistreatment, writing them in the margin of a Bible, among other places. The Times writer has turned this into a compelling and well-documented story.
