Straight forward reporting about ultra conservative reaction to Obama's appointment, along with background about his appointee.

That neocons reacted so vociferously indicates Obama appointed the right person. What is so ironically hilarious is right wing Republicans criticizing a Democrat for making millions on Wall Street.

Offers the GOP perspective on Emanuel, with only a little background info. Fairly even-handed, by presenting Obama's statement on the appointment as well.

I would like to see a deeper investigation into his Wall Street ties.

The article provides a republican reaction to the Emanuel appointment. It fails to give even a note of mention to the laughable cynicism of the criticism. Emanuel is on the right wing of the Democratic party, and the republicans criticize him as too leftist. They criticize his financial connections when the Republicans are the party of by and for the wealthiest corporate greeders imaginable.

I am not an Emanuel fan in any way, but the RNC attacks are almost laughably for hypocritical and poorly based reasons.

The story uses phrases like 'hard left' without any backup, and mixes the writer's editorial comments in with statements from GOP spokesmen.

Good grief, look who's complaining!!

A mild opinion piece containing some useful information.

It was funny this piece should mention "foul language" - seems I recall VP Cheney telling a senator, on the senate floor, to do something anatomically impossible with himself--after being questioned about Haliburton ties. pots and kettles

It uses names and sources.

Rahm is going to kick their butts, when their butts are already sore from last Tuesday's butt kicking. But they have no one to blame but themselves. They supported George Bush the past 8 years, and those eight years will give Democrats fodder for the next 20. So buy seat cushions my tender arsed friends. The pain has just begun.
