We'll never get the people who benefit from the current system, those elected, to reform it from the top down. Besides, trying to control corrupt money is a losing game. Still there is hope. Every community has control over the broadcast media, including cable. That's why we have public access TV. By requiring these media to provide free air time to all candidates who gather signatures from 1% of the populace, we empower honest people to campaign effectively without money. This nation has the best politicians money can buy. We deserve better. Your community can change the system with a simple ordinance. Please encourage your city or county government to act today for real campaign reform.
