WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED IN ALASKA?

While we await the outcome of the Stevens-Begich Senate vote, the pundits -- incredulous that Alaskans may have re-elected Sen. Ted Stevens after he was found guilty of corruption -- are casting their opinions. the column gathers news relevant to Alaska in one column, in this case political news. The nation's incredulity at Alaskans voting for a convicted felon is a topic of note. Counting appears to still be under way. There is no indication that any investigation of the voting is under way to see if election theft is a possible reason for the voting differing so much from the polls.
