Well written article. But nothing here we haven't heard before--except this is from the foreign press and mirrors the world's feelings and reaction to the past eight years as well as to the American election.

When FDR was elected president in 1932, he was asked why on earth would anyone want to be president in these times. His reply: "Why wouldn't anyone?" Although we face monumental challenges, according to my late parents, the challenges of the thirties and forties were equally as dangerous and as challenging. Each generation has its own cross to bear.
