I found this a very informative read- not only Europe's expectations and reactions to Obama, but the cooperation already moving along between Obama and the Europeans.

Irwin Stelzer is one to be taken with a grain of salt. His robust support for the "war on terror" gets in the way of his clear analysis of most current foreign policy issues.

I hope Obama re-thinks his position on the war in Afghanistan. The European countries in general see no military solution to the growing insurgency there. Pakistan and Iran share this view, as do many senior British military men.
