McCain Aide Mark Salter Reflects on the Defeat

The morning after John McCain's defeat, Mark Salter, McCain's closest aide and biographer, sipped coffee in the courtyard of the Biltmore Resort and Spa while explaining why the national political press had assisted Barack Obama. It seems to tell us Salter's opinion. It continues the unjustified McCain attack upon the press coverage. It ignores the mistakes of the campaign, the persistent negative attack lies McCain used that got press attention, and flies in the face of other studies that indicate an undue bias in the big corporate media in favor of McCain (see Media Matters).
