Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) launched his presidential campaign emphasizing national security, an issue of top concern for many voters at the time. Sen. I was interested to learn what Obama and McCain DO agree on: they have similar plans for the Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict, and have both proposed sizeable increases in U.S. ground forces, as well as improvements to civilian-military coordination in post-conflict zones.
