This is the "long tail" in practice. I'm not going to argue that all of this is solely because of how well the Obama campaign has used the internet. This is the sort of thing that is endlessly fascinating to political junkies like me. But, to those of us who were involved in the first Internet campaign--for Howard Dean--it looks like everything we hoped for and more. Sifry's story of the volunteer in Florida is one of many that shows how it can empower ordinary citizens.
