Global climate change is the primary and dominant concern. We need clean coal or no coal. The workers in the coal belt should look to solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, wind, geothermal, and conservation for jobs that also will preserve the beauty of the air, the water, the mountains, and all the diverse creatures on the planet.
