The article is a bit to the stupid side as it is fairly obvious why the issues he discusses are not important in the campaign - mainly because the candidates don't care or have similar positions.

Comprehensive immigration reform is code word for amnesty which won't be popular and probably can't pass congress. Corn to ethanol is one of the most mindless government programs ever - McCain deserves great credit for opposing it and losing Iowa in the process.
