Interesting opinion piece about the unprecedented amount of transparency in this election -- and the likelihood that results of the election will overload social networks with too much unvetted and unedited information. The author makes a good point, based on reasonable evidence, about a very real issue that has been underreported so far, namely the problem of credibility and information overload on the Internet.

The issues the author raise are the primary reason why we started NewsTrust ;o) I hope that over time, our collective evaluation system will prove to be a valuable solution to these issues, by focusing on facts and core principles of journalism.

Stoltz is worried. He identifies something of a problem, but did not exercise journalistic initiative to report whether anybody was doing anything about the problem; or what people could do about the problem.

Two activist sites regarding voting include www.blackboxvoting.org and www.voteraction.org for information and action steps.
