After spending the entire piece rehashing thing that have been written many times before, Rawnsley finally gets to the most impressive thing about the campaign--and the one few have noted. Obama said he wanted to govern red and blue states--the UNITED states. And he has run his campaign to allow that should he win. He stressed that to Rachel Maddow in a recent interview. McCain has not stayed true to his core principles and it has hurt the trust the electorate has in him as much as his impulsive and desperate VP pick.
