The Washington Post's Deborah Howell has a long history of sending readers to the dictionary to determine whether the term "ombudsman" entails systematically perverting journalistic standards. This opinion piece has no journalistic value. The author obviously does not read the Washington Post or he would know that in fact it has strongly slanted its news coverage for Obama and against McCain and Palin, just as the ombudsman notes. In fact the Post has hardly mentioned Wright or Ayers or any of the other items in this author's list, let alone put them on the front page.
