This breaking news piece alleges that a Kenyan relative of Barack Obama is living illegally in the United States. This report is largely based on unconfirmed statements from anonymous sources, and lacks factual evidence, in-depth research, sourcing and context. Though it's possible that the reporter's findings may be correct, it's premature to reach any conclusions on this topic until more verifiable factual evidence emerges.

Investigation may determine that this poor woman who has been living peacefully here, should be deported to a highly unstable area. Just remember that a lot of immigration judges are anti immigrant at heart, and don't think anyone deserves asylum.

This news report has considerable journalistic merit. The authors provide much factual information. They state that they are uncertain about a relevant point rather than ignore it. They note the concern of the Bush Administration that such information not be released during the final days of the campaign.
