Do the Right Thing

Over the last couple of months, there have been countless media reports of officials and partisan operatives erecting barriers to voting—many of questionable legality. Less attention has been paid to the fact that multiple state and local officials have worked very hard to ensure that everybody who has the right to vote will be able to cast a ballot and have it count. This article provides the good news. Perhaps after all the bad news they have been providing over this last week, they did not want the voters to become too dispirited. Perhaps the bad news they have reported has helped some of this good news to come to be.

Th Brennan Center does something we don't see enough of by dousing unwarranted partisanship in a highly contentious issue. They point out examples of officials doing the right thing for the voting process.
