Obama Is Dominating in the Polls, but Four Things Keep Me Awake at Night

We are one week from election day. Barack Obama leads John McCain in every poll. Nate Silver of fivethirtyeight.com gives Obama a 96.7 percent chance of winning. And some McCain supporters with a nose for survival are jumping off of the Republican bandwagon faster than Sarah Palin running to an Alaska consignment shop (yes, I'm talking to you Joe Lieberman).

The writer so eloquently articulates all of the unknowns surrounding this historic presidential election. It is both honest and well reasoned, emotional and supported by sources; as an opinion piece, Bard makes his case clearly and openly. His analysis is perceptive.

I have seen too much to be confident also. Bard catches the atmosphere among many Democrats, and goes on to itemize a few things he fears could happen. The article may rouse the ghosts in your anxiety closet.

Pennsylvania worries me. I fear that all the McCain time and money there is a cover for vote manipulation that will occur later. The fraud will be explained as clever campaigning and Joe SixPack. Florida stolen in 2000, Ohio stolen in 2004, Pennsylvania in 2008? Try not to burglarize the same house twice.
