Posted by Gregory KruseIt is timely, or just in time. This is a Davidian attempt to counter the Goliathan media spin and perpetuation of an amusing and clever lie told by the Republican right against an old enemy: minority rights and government assisted opportunity for the disavantaged. It is quality journalism by virtue of the truth which has never been contested by the McCain campaign. Their story about ACORN is false in every respect, and they know it is. I hesitate to rate any story as perfect, but I know that many readers on the other side are perfectly willing to rate it as zero, simply because they don't want to know the truth. I honestly can't find any fault with this article except that it might have been more thoroughly footnoted and linked.
The Republican Presidential campaign has been stripped to its bare bones of white privilege. The desire for a Roman style republic rather than a democracy is far from dead among the moneyed class in America. This election will put a sword through the heart of white privilege if Michelle Obama walks through the front door of the White House as first lady, and the Republican right knows it. It has become clear that the right cares nothing for the truth because it will topple the whole dry structure of the campaign and white privilege.
