The clear and present danger of voting machines with secret coding and deficient quality control is met by a NYT clear call for a cessation of all use of electronic voting machines.

Secret software generated by large corporations combined with dismal acceptance testing and followed by demonstrated problems at voting time clearly calls for returning control of voting to the people. Paper ballots and open software, along with required audits are needed to protect democracy.
