The Obama Temptation

The question is whether enough Americans understand what's at stake in this election and, if they do, whether they care. Is the allure of a charismatic demagogue so strong that the usually sober American people are willing to risk an Obama presidency? Any writer who calls Obama a "demagogue" is so wide of the mark as to fascinate.

On foreign policy, my concern is that Obama is too much a "centrist" when the basic underpinnings of the absurd "war on terror" obviously have rotted away entirely.
