Conason leverages his arguments off a poll to say there is a political and economic need for more spending to create more jobs, now that the super-rich banks have been saved. He does not mention that most manufacturing jobs have been exported, and no amount of spending is likely to bring them back without changes in laws, trade agreements, and immigrant labor visas.
