This news report takes U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's remarks from a significant meeting with economic experts and chiefs of the IMF and the World Bank, and gives insight into what the U.N. is going in response to the global economic crisis; his views are noteworthy, as they represent a global perspective above and beyond national and corporate interests. While the article does site statistics, often it is not completely clear what their sources are. Only Ban Ki-moon is quoted directly, even though other notables are mentioned by name; including quotations from these additional sources would add depth to the piece and make it more compelling.
