Mendoza's article presents a fascinating fact about Governor Palin's policy on 'energy independence.' Independence for Alaska, perhaps, and profits for the oil companies as they take Alaskan resources to sell in Japan. This brings into question her advocacy for energy expansion under the battle cry "Drill, Baby, drill." And then what?
