A fair analysis of the candidate's records, useful for voters. The sidebar comparison graphic is one of the better parts of this. Slightly misleading: the main story does not comment on McCain's repeated refusal to support national CAFE increases, instead saying that both he and Obama support allowing California to do so. Sources like "energy specialists" and "teams of researchers" are not identified. But overall, this is quite good.

The title of this article is misleadingly broad. This is a focused, balanced look at each candidate's plan to regulate carbon emission. Strikes a decent balance of breadth and depth, but is probably light on details for those with a science background. Of course, policy details are hard to come by during campaign season. This piece is worth a read for anyone looking to orients themselves between these two energy platforms.

Good article for its length but some points are missed that might help a reader. In mentioning Sen. Inhofe some mention should be made to record as the formost opponent of any action on climate change. In referring to cap in trade, perhaps readers should know that it accepted by both candidates as a political necessity while most experts agree that a system of taxation would be more effective and much easier to adminsister.

Though the article is good, the title is not. Plenty of evidence is given in the article that McCain has greatly softened his stand and would not take urgent action against climate change.
