Obama takes on taxes, tough times in KC speech

“It comes down to values — in America, do we simply value wealth, or do we value the work that creates it?” Obama said in Kansas City.

“That’s right, Missouri — John McCain is so out of touch with the struggles you are facing that he must be the first politician in history to call a tax cut for working people ‘welfare.’ ”

Kudos to Kraske for pointing out the factual error in Obama's speech. I'm so tired of reporters who just parrot political speeches without comment, this is refreshing. I posted another yesterday that pointed out McCain's claim that the Obama tax plan is "socialist" is odd since his own health care plan also uses credits to redistribute wealth. If this is a new trend in journalism, I'm all for it!
