Wow. What a great story and the fact it is written by a white former Republican male gives it even more credibility. Republicans must be crying in their beer reading this story, and it is mostly true what the writer says about Obama. He might not exactly be the second coming, but after the horrible creature in the White House now, Obama is a beacon of hope shining on America. I think he will be one of the best presidents we have ever had and he is obviously a uniter and just the fact of his race will make a tremendous different in our poor old country filled with racists and sexists in both major parties, but especially in the quasi-fascist Republican party. His intelligence and intellect dwarts any Republican president who has ever disgraced this country.

I am a Democrat and always have been and knew when I was a young man the Republican would never do anything for me and I was right. I was worried that a Black man could never become president in my lifetime and I am so happy that Obama will be president. Just too bad that we couldn't have had a female president, but one is coming and not one of the knee jerk reactionary characters like Sarah Palin or any Republican female for that matter.
