This is sensationalist journalism that focuses on the symptoms instead of the cause.

The authors' focus on stolen votes ignores the real and more crucial problem of stolen elections. In 2000 and 2004, the President was sworn in BEFORE the popular vote was counted. Even if every eligible voter was able to cast a ballot and even if every single ballot was tallied accurately, it would not prevent Congress from swearing in the President before the popular vote is counted and without regard to the popular vote.
