Immigration, abortion and the next president

McCain and Obama are closer on immigration issues but differ starkly on reproductive rights.

This editorial has minimal journalistic merit. It follows the Democratic Party line, as this paper normally does, but goes further in its promotion of the most extreme position on the abortion issue, a position that most women oppose. Obama is known to have one of the most anti-life records of any major-party politician and the editors should have noted this if they intended to provide a genuine assessment of the two candidates.
