More than an interview, this is a generally favorable portrait of Obama at the current stage in his quest for the Presidency, with a heavy dose of, "will he be able to win over disaffected white males, particularly in Appalachia?' There is a little too much speculation on what the voters are thinking for my taste; however, the piece provides some insight into Obama's approach to bridging the "culture divide" and how his thoughts have evolved during the course of the campaign.
