This article answers the question: How do you know which health care TV ads tell the true.--at least in the case of this specific ad.

The story was a bit too wordy for my taste. However it was well sourced and detailed.

“Medicare will be bankrupt in eight years.” That gives a false impression. The program does have huge financial problems, but there’s no reason to think it’s going out of business as the word “bankrupt” implies.
