Negative Advertising

One of the oldest phenomena of American elections-- criticism of one's opponent-- has in recent times been stigmatized by much of the media as "negative advertising."

This opinion piece has high journalistic merit. The author provides abackground on the role of negative advertising in political campaigns, then applies it to the current campaign. He offers a large amount of specific information, and does not stray from the facts.
