This news analysis has modest journalistic merit. As usual with the AP, they do their best to promote their party. Lewis's hate-filled comments about McCain were far worse than anything Republicans have said about Obama, yet most of the article is devoted to justifying Lewis. In addition the author of the article constantly injects his own prejudices, and interpretations of McCain. Finally, the last paragraphs about the prayer at the campaign event are biased; the pastor quoted is quite temperate compared to many of those at Obama events, yet they are not mentioned at all.
