Total violent crimes include criminal homicide (murder, negligent, and non-negligent manslaughter), forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. Aggravated assaults are counted by victim. Uniform Crime Reporting counts should not be compared with Arizona Revised Statute numbers. UCR data excludes unfounded cases. Clearances are not always counted in the month of the incident.
