The article gives a factual recounting of the recent problems the McCain campaign has had with rapid followers at rallies, many of them apparently whipped up by Sarah Palin. The interpretive part -- that Palin is setting herself up for 2012 -- seems well-founded, although nobody in the Palin camp is likely to confirm that. What the article doesn't mention is the baggage following Palin out of Alaska, including the so-called "Troopergate" report recently. By the time this campaign is over, Palin's reputation in Alaska may be entirely different than it is today.
