this report is really an analysis of karl rove's tactics and how they are being used in sen. mcain's campaign to become president.. the author is not totally fair in pointing out one particular media representative when the media in general certainly contributes to their success. he makes a point at the end regarding our collective responsibility for what has changed for the worse in our political landscape.

Mr. Taibbi points out that McCain has thrown in with (and adopted the tactics of ) the very people who (it must be remembered he criticized) helped defeat him in 2000. In the works of Palin this isn't an attack it is "truth telling."
