What We Would Have Told Obama

(Video) Critics are upset that President Obama only invited supporters of his health care plan to his address to 150 doctors in the White House Rose Garden on Monday. Fox News assembled their own panel of doctors and asked for their input. Full Story »

Pretty hypocritical. Fox's panel of doctors is no less stacked than Obama's group in the Rose Garden. And, sadly, I didn't hear anything about health care reform from these three physicians that I haven't heard from conservative pundits.

This short panel discussion apparently features relatively unknown doctors hand-picked by Fox News to favor right-wing viewpoints on health care. I didn't find this segment particularly insightful.

Okay, I confess. My sound isn't working & all I have to go on are the pics & the comments of the other raters. Look, FOX is not a news station. They don't employ journalists because journalism isn't why they exist. They do entertainment, propaganda, mis-information & anything that will rile up or frighten the people who are foolish enough to take them seriously. If you want knowledge, accurate information, rational discussion, or anything resembling truth, you don't go near Fox. You all know that, if you have a brain.

Again the lie that "the WH handed out white coats. And the focus on Tort reform...less than %1 of health care excess costs. While talking about solutions one of their Doctors said that "Medicare could start covering people at age 55" but they are against a government run program? Excuse me? And of course, the final point, take care of yourself. Duh.

There were very valid points made, far more than I would have anticipated. He acknowledged up front that he was interviewing doctors with a different point of view. None were hostile to Obama's plan, but all had their own point of view, which made it intriguing. This was one of the fairer Fox segments I've seen.

No this is opinions that are not related to the original topic. White coats carry germs, torte reform and qaliyt bs quanity conversations do nothing to address the problem of the non or underinsured. This is obvious pandering talking points to confuse the real issuescthat need to be addressed.

It documented lack of thinking perfectly, but I don't think that was what they were going for. For instance, the last speaker said we need to take care of everyone that falls through the cracks, but if we add all of those that fall through the cracks, then face time with doctors will be cut back significantly. But wait, I thought you just committed to caring for everyone that slipped by? When will people realize that in order to achieve far-reaching change, sometimes government intervention (i.e., more money for medical and nursing schools to train more med professionals) is the only way to go?
