In this well-organised article, it would have been nice to have a greater sense of Shirin Ebadi's effect on Iran society. As the Nobel Prize has recently come under fire for being a politicised award, the legitimacy of Ebadi's award could have been addressed since she is a controversial figure.

The article indicates that the Iranian government has always worked counter to Ebadi's interests and it has been asserted that she drafted an act defending the rights of the child and that it was passed by parliament. More info about this incident would have been crucial to decide the Iranian government's complicity in the ban.
